I have to get my first pair of glasses. There is an optimart with good deals close by. Any comments on them? What should I look watch out for when buying glasses. I will need single vision and I work on a computer all day.

I have heard of OptiMart but I don’t know what area you live in. Sorry, I can’t be of better help there. As far as what to look for when purchasing eyeglasses, really the main thing is making sure that you choose a pair of glasses that are right for your needs rather that what someone else feels is good for you.

Listen to the optician, as there are quite a few options available. Based off what you have told me I am unsure if you need eyeglasses for distance (i.e. driving) or if you need eyeglasses for up close (i.e. computer). If you need eyeglasses for computer use, I would recommend getting an anti-reflective coating. Actually, it’s good to have that for all eyeglasses.

However, one thing with that is the anti-reflective coating scratches very very easily. The great thing about the coating is the reduction of glare, which is much more noticable when using a computer.
